Lifefolio Privacy Policy
April 27, 2026
Lifefolio is an iOS app designed to help you safely keep travel and everyday journal records. Your core records are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account, and the developer does not operate a separate account server or collect the contents of your journal.
Information processed
Information you enter or choose may include dates, text notes, mood ratings, editor comments, weather display information, place names, addresses, coordinates, selected photo identifiers, thumbnails used in the app, and reminder settings.
When you grant permission, location may be used for maps, place records, and weather lookup. Photo library access may be used to attach photos or recommend records from recent photos with location metadata.
For advertising through Google AdMob, device information, IP address, ad interaction information, performance and diagnostics data may be processed. If you allow App Tracking Transparency permission, IDFA may be used for personalized advertising and measurement.
Purpose and storage
The app uses information to save and display journals, places, and photos, sync data between your devices through iCloud, show record locations on a map, search places and convert addresses, display weather for selected locations, recommend records from photo locations, provide local reminders, serve ads, manage ad consent, and maintain app stability.
Records, places, photo identifiers, and thumbnails are stored in local app storage. iCloud sync may use Apple CloudKit, where synced data is stored in your personal iCloud account. The developer does not directly access your personal iCloud data.
When on-device AI features such as writing assistance, refinement, or summaries are provided, processing is performed on your device where possible and the input is not sent to a developer server.
External services and permissions
The app does not sell your journal, photo, or place records. To provide features, it may use Apple CloudKit, Apple MapKit, Apple WeatherKit, Google AdMob, and Google User Messaging Platform. Information required for those services may be sent to each provider and handled under that provider's policies and terms.
The app may request Location, Photo Library, Notifications, and Tracking permissions. You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings, though features that require a denied permission may be limited.
Retention, deletion, children, and changes
Your data is retained until you delete it in the app, delete the app, or delete it from iCloud. iCloud-synced data can be managed or deleted through your Apple iCloud storage and settings. Advertising choices can be changed through iOS tracking or advertising settings, or through an in-app ad privacy choice menu if available.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. This policy may be updated when app features, laws, or external service policies change, and important changes may be announced in the app or this document.
